• Jeera trading range for the day is 16505-16975.
  
• Jeera gained on short covering after prices dropped due to hopes of bumper output on the back of favourable weather conditions and higher sowing.
• Jeera sowing in Gujarat jumped to 382,600 hectare from 286,030 hectare a year ago, according to data from Gujarat Agriculture Department.
• NCDEX accredited warehouses jeera stocks dropped by 231 tonnes to 10286 tonnes
• In Unjha, a key spot market in Gujarat, jeera edged down by -9.05 Rupees to end at 19661.55 Rupees per 100 kg.
