- The cotton crop for 2017-18 season is expected to remain at 36 million bales, as estimated earlier, said Cotton Association of India (CAI).
- China's cotton inventory will plunge by 20 percent in the upcoming 2018/19 season to 6.01 million tonnes.
- Cotton prices in spot market gained by 140.00 rupees and settled at 20250.00 rupees.
