Turmeric dropped on profit booking after prices seen supported on reports of good demand from stockists, as supply of good quality turmeric was limited.
The total area under turmeric during 2014-15 has been estimated at 0.18 million hectares.
Buyers are showing interest in the new crop and 700 bags of new crop arrived for sale and were sold at a higher price.
In Nizamabad, a major spot market in AP, the price ended at 8788.25 rupees remains unchanged at0 rupees.
