Maize gained tracking firmness in overseas prices with strong U.S. exports and concerns over flooding in key exporter Argentina underpinning prices.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture pegged weekly corn sales at more than 1 million tonnes above expectations.
As per trade sources, stock of maize could be around 25,000 MT in the hands of Private traders, almost same during the corresponding period of last year.
In Nizamabad maize prices dropped -11.85 rupee to end at 1463.65 rupees per 100 kg.
