Cardamom dropped on profit booking after gaining on account of good buying support from both exporters and upcountry buyers.
Dry weather in growing regions in Idukki district of Kerala and other parts may negatively impact the total production in the coming season.
An estimated around 5 - 10 per cent of the plants have dried up already and it may be more if the current prevailing drought conditions continued for long.
