Cotton trading range for the day is 20047-20687. Cotton dropped on profit booking after prices gained amid expectation of lower cotton production in the country. Total cotton sowing till Sep 9 fell to 10.21 million hectare as compared to 11.47 million hectare same period last year. World cotton production for year 2016-17 is projected to increase by 6% on year to 22.5 million tons. Cotton prices in spot market gained by 330.00 rupees and settled at 21040.00 rupees.
