Cotton trading range for the day is 20023-20623. Cotton dropped on profit booking after prices seen supported on fears of crop damage due to recent rainfall in major sowing belts of Gujarat. The agriculture ministry has projected India's 2016-17 cotton output at 33.21 million bales from 30.14 million bales in the previous year. India's cotton output fell to 33.8 million bales from 38 million bales a year ago, according to CAB. Cotton prices in spot market gained by 100.00 rupees and settled at 22350.00 rupees.
