Maize prices gained tracking firmness in spot demand despite of weak overseas prices.
Govt has revised down production estimate for kharif maize from 16.46 to 16.25 million tonne in the 3rd adv estimate.
Slightly lower production would not hamper availability of maize in general.
In Nizamabad maize prices dropped -3.4 rupee to end at 1357 rupees per 100 kg.
