Ref soyoil prices gained on short covering after prices plunged to over four-year low on oversupply woes.
Oilseeds sowing rose to 12.71 million hectare from only 3.8 million hectare a year ago on the back of steep rise in soybean acreage.
India vegetable oil imports rose 15% to 1.01 million tons in June compared to 883,679 tons for the same period year ago.
