Turmeric prices dropped as favorable rainfall in major growing states such as Maharashtra and Karnataka during last week encouraging turmeric sowing.
However, prospects of weak monsoon in July may not effect turmeric production as it is sown mainly in irrigated conditions.
NCDEX accredited warehouses turmeric stocks gained by 50 tonnes to 14850 tonnes.
In Nizamabad, a major spot market in AP, the price ended at 7195.2 rupees dropped -21.45 rupees.
