Jeera prices dropped on profit booking after gaining on the back of increased buying by retailers and stockists amid fall in supplies from producing belts.
As per the Agricultural Ministry, during 2014-15 around 859,000 ha area was cultivated from which nearly 514,000 tons Jeera is expected to be produced.
NCDEX accredited warehouses jeera stocks dropped by 802 tonnes to 11945 tonnes.
