Ref soyoil prices ended with gains tracking firmness in spot demand amid short covering.
Prices also seen supported tracking firmness in soyabean prices on account of weak arrivals from the major producing belts.
Oilseeds sowing rose to 12.71 million hectare from only 3.8 million hectare a year ago on the back of steep rise in soybean and groundnut acreage.
