Maize prices dropped pressured by ample supplies from the freshly harvested U.S. crop and profit-taking.
The USDA, in a report on Friday, will probably cut its projections for the country's average corn yield and for the number of acres that will be harvested.
Sources expect maize production for this Kharif season to be at 14.68 MMT with the expected yield of 2194 kg/ hectare.
In Nizamabad maize prices dropped -13.2 rupee to end at 1482.5 rupees per 100 kg.
