Chana prices dropped amid prospects of rains in growing states of Madhya Pradesh in coming days as that could have beneficial impact on sowing.
However downside seen limited due to anticipation of lower supplies in the market in coming days.
As per data release by Agriculture Ministry, pulses planted on 90.91 lakh hac, lower by 7 per cent compared to last year acreage as on now.
In Delhi spot market, chana gained by 29.8 rupee to end at 5372.65 rupee per 100 kgs.
