Chana prices dropped due to higher supplies from producing belts in the physical market following the government measures to check prices.
Chana prices weakened further in Indore mandis on absence of buying support from millers and stockists.
As per data release by Agriculture Ministry, chana planted on 79.17 lakh hac, higher by 4 per cent compared to last year acreage of 75.82 as on now.
