Jeera prices gained on short covering after prices dropped amid surge in supply from the producing regions in the midst of decline in the export demand.
Cool weather is beneficial for crop growth, while a warmer weather may damage the standing crop also.
NCDEX accredited warehouses jeera stocks dropped by 72 tonnes to 2192 tonnes.
