Maize prices continued its weak trend tracking weakness in spot demand despite of firmness in overseas prices amid strong demand for U.S. supplies.
As per Government data, in Maharashtra, maize has been sown in 2.07 lakh hectares higher by 0.10 lakh hectares than the corresponding period of last year.
Brazil's agriculture minister said the country would auction 500,000 tonnes of maize corn from public stocks to help ease a recent spike in local prices.
