Turmeric prices dropped on hopes of bumper harvest of turmeric crop due to favourable climate and good northeast monsoon.
However, expectation of higher export demand, capped some losses.
Deficient rainfall in during early part of sowing in major Turmeric growing regions of Maharashtra and Karnataka may reduce the yield.
