Cardamom prices dropped due to weak and poor quality despite falling arrivals due to fag-end of the season.
Commencement of new crop supplies in Guatemala has impacted demand from Indian cardamom in the gulf markets.
Meanwhile, upcountry buyers were slow as they said the markets in north Indian states are claimed to be holding good stocks of earlier purchases.
Cardamom prices in spot market gained by 0.50 rupees and settled at 740.50 rupees.
