Cardamom prices dropped on account of lack of upcountry demand at the spot market.
Further, inferior quality arrivals from major producing regions also added pressure on cardamom prices’ downtrend.
There are rains which are beneficial for the plants but new crop arrivals are set to commence late this year due to recent prolonged dry spell.
