Ref soyoil prices dropped owing to slackened demand in the spot market.
Further, ample stocks of vegetable oil and sluggish export demand for meals too added pressure on prices.
The industry estimates the soyabean crop this year at last year level of 8.5 mt, way below the government estimate of 13 mt.
At the Indore spot market in Madhya Pradesh, soyoil was steady at 608.3 rupees per 10 kgs.
